Details:

The entire address is 294-318 Woodholme Court, 56-164 Woodholme Close, 103-241 Woodholme Place, and 24-333 Delacourt Road.

Let's begin by making mention of a structure which has dominated part of the landscaping on the lands located north-easterly of the intersection of Wonderland Road North and Gainsborough Road. In the past before this area was built out sat mansion surrounded by greenery. This structure built in 1893 was given the named "Woodholme Manor" was once home to Colonel Tom Lawson. A tall concrete structure of a "Victorian Gothic Revival" style. It still stands today sitting on 1.26 acres and is totally functional on a street now surrounded by "detached vacant land condos".

The look of this area was also changed in 1995 when a four storey "adult lifestyle community" was built on a five acre piece of land directly on the northeast corner of Wonderland Road North and Gainsborough. Called the "Gainsborough", it has direct affiliations with "The Salvation Army".

Now for some additional details about the condos as "Woodholme Place". Fifty-eight detached units built over a time span of almost ten years. Typical sizes are in the 2187, 2245, 2276, 2300, and 2334 square foot range. Upscale houses built by such builders as "Wastell", "Harasym", "Bridlewood Homes" and "Johnstone Homes". Access into this enclave of residents is off of Whiteacres Drive and residents living here get to enjoy the "Medway Creek" and "Lawson Park" directly to the east.

We note that homes on Whiteacres Drive and Court and Pitcornie Rd/Crescent are slightly older and sometimes larger. These streets form part of this subdivision and compliment it nicely.

** In this neighbourhood 54% of the housing stock was built between 1991 and 2010, and 22% 2011 and after. 75% of the population has English as their primary language and 44% of the population is aged 65+.
