Details:

First, some background news on Auburn Homes and their history of building condo projects in north east London and north west London. Auburn Homes built a project in north east London at 1924 Cedarhallow Road called "River Trail Gate". This is a Highbury Avenue North and Fanshawe Park Road location near the edge of the city and its size is 84 units. Construction started in 2013 and it was not until 2018 that it got finished out.

Why so long? Some buyers found it too far out. It was not until a new public school went in down the street that sales picked up. At the very end of the building process and shortly thereafter, units were selling out in bidding wars. This led Auburn Homes to purchase more land on Guiness Way, a block or so away, and in 2019-2020, 43 more two storey, single garage attached condos went up quickly and sold out quickly. Also, during the same time period, they built more of the same. This time 48 units on Tokala Trail in north central west London called "Fox Quay". It was a 2018-2020 project. Two years is also the typical amount of time that it usually takes to build out a project like this. During this time period a new school went in a block or two away.

Now to the present time period. In 2022 Auburn Homes started "Fox Crossing". Once again, they are building two storey single car garage units in clusters of mostly six. Each new complex is tweaked slightly and this time they come with underground sprinkler systems, oak railings with iron spindles and a linear fireplace with a floating mantle in the great room. Sizes of 1,501 and 1,525 square feet. Grey brick, black shingles, black window trim and black garage doors, covered entrances, large upper front bedroom windows, upper laundries and nine foot ceilings on the main level.

The completed address is 2684-2698; 2700; 2704-2724 Buroak Drive; 2324-2346; 2350-2366 Fair Oaks Boulevard.

There is one cluster of four and one cluster of five facing Buroak Drive and one cluster of four and one cluster of six facing west onto Four Oaks Boulevard. The entranceway into this complex has the address 2700 Buroak Drive and inside the complex are seven clusters of six, one cluster of five and one cluster of four.

Now here is the news as to what is happening going into the summer of 2023. Work on this project appears to be stalling out. There is talk of a new school coming to the area, however, as of yet that has not happened. New foundations are poured awaiting the next stage of the building process.

So, what happens next? Some buyers think that this location is too far out. History tells us not to worry. It might take another five years to get this north west subdivision finished out and another few years to get this particular project finished out.

For Auburn Homes, this experience is somewhat reminiscent of the building experience they had building the "River Trail Gate" subdivision some ten years earlier. The home building industry can be fickle at times.
