The Courtyards at Riverbend

The correct address should read 1900 Shore Road, 1430-1458 Riverbend Road.

A mix of 36 one floor and two storey detached units all with double car garages. Eight units face onto Riverbend Road and the remaining 28 units share one common entranceway on Shore Road. Shore Road on the north side offers open parking.

Front stone and light brown/sand bricking with covered front entrances or front porches. High pitched rooflines with brown shingles, grey coloured garages, wonderful landscaping's and some front sitting areas. Some corner units have side front entrances and some units have partially covered rear decks. This complex has a small interior area of greenery and the units on Riverbend Road are slightly newer in age. The 1900 Shore Road units were Hampton Ridge Communities built.

Unit sizes vary with known sizes of 1394, 1419, 1460, 1500, 1562, 1600, 1636, 1750, 1814 and 2138 square feet. A common two storey design theme is an upper loft with 13 feet high vaulted family room ceilings.

The master builder, Sifton, is now building to the immediate southwest. It is still too early to know how this subdivision will look, feel and function when totally finished out. New apartments, new low rise condominiums by 525 Technologies and new retail activities are still to come. A McDonald's and a Tim Horton's have now set up shop on the south side of Oxford Street West. The bottom line is that the "Courtyards at Riverbend" will soon have new neighbours. All we can say at this time, is that Sifton is known to create new communities that work. Projects like this sometimes take twenty years to get finished out. Still to come are more mid-size rental buildings.
