Have you ever heard a "Doug Tarry Homes" radio commercial on your drive to "Home Depot" around 11:00 a.m. or noon on a Saturday morning? Most people living in the London or St. Thomas area have. Both "Doug Tarry Homes" and "Hayhoe Homes" are big on this style of self-promotion. It seems to work well for both of them.

Even though this is a condo website, we feel compelled to make mention of this project. These are semis and not condos; however they appeal to many people considering condos. This type of living is free from condo fees.

The location, Benjamin Parkway, is off of Southdale Line. If you don't know where it is, Benjamin Parkway is really the extension of Lake Margaret Trail which changes it's name when it crosses Southdale Line to the south. It's really only a five minute walk to "Lake Margaret".

The name given to this new neighbourhood is "Miller's Pond" and these particular units back onto an undisturbed forested area. Directly across the street to the west from the first phase of this project is a "naturalization" pond. Only a few years ago this neighbourhood was used for farming.

As previously mentioned, these are semi-detached units. Unit sizes in Phase One are 1,115; 1,135 and 1,175 square feet on one floor with the option of finishing out the lower level. Single or 1.5 garages. A den or a small bedroom at the front, a rear great room, a walk-in pantry, quartz countertops. Covered front porches. All brick exterior with the exception of the front exterior which might have a combination of stone and other materials in mostly earthtone colours. The garage door has an upper row of what is called "infinity glass". What a contemporary look. Typical lot sizes are in the 43x114 ft. range and the backdrop of trees makes for a very relaxing setting.

Benjamin Parkway is an unusual street from the perspective that it was built so wide. There currently is plenty of visitors parking on the west side of the street. Easy access to Sparta and Port Stanley. What a wonderful area of farmlands and coastal shorelines to explore. This is true edge of the city living.

* "Doug Terry Homes" also built six two storey semi style units (1,850 square feet models) in 2020-2021 with the addresses 90-100 Benjamin Parkway.
