Details:

An easy access location near Wharncliffe Road South and Commissioner Road, and quick and easy access to Victoria Hospital. Several food stores are within a five minute drive. This project backs onto a large area of greenery known as Easton Park. Bike, if you wish, to Wortley Village, Downtown, or Springbank Park in the opposite direction.

This complex, soon to be thirty years old, was "Tricar" built, This was one of their early adventures in building one-floor condos followed shortly thereafter by a one-floor condo project out in Byron just past Springbank Park. Its name is "Byron Woods".

These one-floor brick units are built in cluster sizes of 5, 7 and 8 units, with some having lower level walkouts. Unit sizes are modest at 1131, 1161, 1193 and 1282 square feet. Red Brick, black shingles, covered entrances and one car garages. No rentals allowed of lower basement space to people who are unrelated. That's what most condo corporations want.

Two bedrooms on the main level. Some other condo projects with units of this size would opt for a bedroom main floor with a lower level bedroom or two. Not here.

The condo fees have recently gone up to $380 per month and include shingles and windows. These units have skylights, the skylights are also considered windows. New shingles for some units are now on the agenda. Like with many maturing complexes, the job of installing new shingles is done in clusters and the process of doing so often takes a number of years.

Yes there is a clubhouse for all to use if they wish. Adequate visitors parking and open areas of greenspace at the rear of the complex. That feature is something you would rarely see in new complexes.

Some owners living here are the original owners, This complex is well suited to the needs of retirees and units here are seldom made available for sale.
