The coming soon signs are up. One sign shows a happy looking lady sitting in a cardboard box with a happy looking fellow standing behind her. It’s marketing. Yet with housing starts stalling out in the first half of 2024 it is difficult to say when construction on this site will commence. Other condo builders in this neighbourhood like Foxwood Building Corporation and Auburn Homes have recently developed a go slow mentality.
If you visit the ‘York Developments’ website, you will learn that they are also busy building commercial units and apartment buildings. Recently they built the “Park Vu” at Wonderland and Springbank and before that ‘Sofia Yorkville” south and west of Southdale Road and Wonderland Road. Currently they are building the new “Aqui on King’ in downtown London.
What do you know about the ‘Northlands Village’ units? In Phase one there will be one cluster of five, six clusters of six and four clusters of seven. One cluster of six and one cluster of five will back onto Dalmagarry Road. Two clusters of six and one of one cluster of five will back onto Tokola Trail. These will be three level units with brown and white colour tones.
Model names of Algonquin, Killarney, Manitoulin and Albion. The end units will have sizes of 1786 sq. ft. and the interior unit sizes will be 1740 sq. ft. Each unit will have three bedrooms and each bedroom will have their own bathroom. The laundry will be on the second level and these units will also have single car garages. All units will have one bedroom on the main floor and two bedrooms on the upper third level.
